Gov. Buni delivering beyond expectation ( laudable achiever)
Always say less than necessary, because a leader who cannot control his words shows that he cannot control himself, and is unworthy of respect and fulfilment, but human tongue is a beast, that few can master, it strains constantly to break out of it’s cage, and if it is not tamed, it will run wild and cause grief.
Always to control the words that comes out of your mouth, because once they’re out you can’t take them back, always be careful with sacasm and momentary satisfaction.
Leadership itself is merely the opportunity to serve and power is a God given resource with which we are meant to change live for the better.
Following the successful inauguration/ swearing in of Gov. Buni on May 29 as the democratically elected governor of Yobe state, his first step was to retain the SSG temporary for effective service delivery, and he went ahead to reassure yobeans that his government will never fail in fulfilling all his electioneering campaign promises aimed at bringing development and giving a new lease of life to all and sundry in the state through continuity and consolidating Gaidam’s legacy and more to take the state to a greater height of the progressive.
Gov. Buni on assuming office immediately declared state of emergency on primary and secondary education in the sate, revolution on Agriculture and primary healthcare service delivery. With his bold steps towards safeguarding this institutions, it offers a great insight into his approach to the job. So far, his conducts is worth commending.
It is obvious that with Gov. Buni’s bold steps towards tackling the lingering situations in the state’s institutions, Buni is willing and planning to strengthen the state’s institutions to the best of his ability and turn Yobe to the state of gossip by many. Yobe will be a prosperous state where life is more meaningful for the people at all ramifications of living standards. And Yobe will become a shinning example of good governance.
It is expected that the first impression of Buni’s bold step last long and bring about a reduction of poverty, an improvement in the living standards, a boost in employment creation, and personal motivation for a productive economy.
Yobe as an agrarian society, Thus, Agriculture shall be a veritable engine growth of the state. Working aggressively towards getting Yobe back to reckoning by Buni’s led administration is a welcome idea by all and sundry. Because through the sector, new jobs and wealth will be created. And farmers shall be assisted to overcome the challenges of asset, training, infrastructure, financing and access to markets.

Members of the team includes the Permanent Secretaries in ministries of finance, trade and investment, environment, transport, health, water resources as well as the general managers of the state’s housing and water cooperation, with the Chairman of the state’s Board of internal revenue, serving as the Secretary.
The governor urged them to block all leakages in revenues accruing to the state and to harness all avenues to increase internal revenue.
He further disclosed that the state executive council will review the 2020 budget given the fall in oil price which could make projected revenue from the federation account potentially impossible as a result of drop from more than $50 bench mark to less than $30 being the price at the moment.
” A revised budget will be sent to the Borno state House of Assembly, in which less revenue will be projected from the federation account, while some projects will be set aside with government to focus on funding priority projects”, Prof. Zulum added.
