2023 : Adamawa Police Command Warns Public On INEC Facilities/Materials Destruction Or Face Sanctions.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections,the Adamawa state police command has warned to deal decisively with anyone caught destructing INEC facilities in the state.
Spokesman of the command,SP Suleiman Nguroje disclosed the warning through a press statement issued in Yola weekend stating that the command has deployed operational assets around INEC facilities for surveillance operations to checkmate criminal activities.
The statement further explained that the decision connotes the IGP Usman Baba Alkali’s determination to providing conductive atmosphere for political process in the country ordering total clamp down on non-INEC staff found around INEC facilities/materials.
It added that political thugs across the state are warned to steer clear and turn away from INEC facilities and materials or face the wrath of the law accordingly.
“The Adamawa state commissioner of police,CP Sikiru Akande has equally directed the Divisional police officers and their supervisory Area commanders to immediately ensure strategic deployment of officers at their respective areas of responsibility(AOR).
“This deployments will surely assist in monitoring INEC materials,prevent any attempt to evade INEC premises,coordinate timely response to distress call and clamp down on violators”.the statement highlighted.
Recalled that, last week,there was a reported case of razing down INEC office in one of the South East states where all the election materials including uncollected permanent voter’s cards (PVC’s),computers and other digital gadgets were completely destroyed allegedly for political reasons.
