2023 General Elections, Play The Game According To The Law, IGP Alkali Tells Politicians

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali has called an the politicians and all political party to play the game according to the law, as 2023 general elections electioneering campaign commences, as he also assured of that police will ensure level playing ground for all.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Remodeled Police College, Maiduguri on Sunday, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali said “want to assure you of free, fair and leveled playing ground, as commences 2023 electioneering campaign. ”
” As 2023 electioneering campaign commenced, we are preparing, training and equipping ourselves that election come and go before, during and after the elections.
The IGP while pledging their loyalty to the constituted authority said ” I want to reiterated the police us doing everything to provide Kevel playing ground to all political parties.
The IGP said ” we are here today as part of our working tour of our formations and units to see what we gave done and also commissioning then. Thus Remodeled police College us part our transformation efforts in improving the welfare and working conditions of our men.”
He said the Maiduguri Police College is one of the premier police colleges which includes Maiduguri, Kaduna, Lagos and Uheru., stressing that he can recalled during his days as a trainee in the college and that thousands of policemen have underground training in the college.
IGP also said the Nigerian Police is to establish Police Secondary School in Maiduguri and Danaturu to provide opportunity for those graduating from Children School to study..
Earlier on the first day, IGP Usman alkali also commissioned Ultra Modern Area Command office, and staff quarters in Benesheik , the headquarters of Kaga local government area, Borno state.
He said the Ultra Modern police station and the staff quarters was part of his commitment in improving the welfare of both retired and serving personnel of the Nigerian police force.
He urged the members of the Benesheik community to take proper care of the facility as the station belongs to the community, stressing security is not the business of the police and other security agencies, hence the need for community policing, as the community knows the nocks and crannies of their areas.
Also speaking, the Borno state Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum on Saturday commended the military, police and other security agencies for the synergy which has resulted unto a lot of successes in the fight against insurgents.
“I commend the current service Chiefs for synergy among the military, police, NSCDC, Immigration, Customs and other security agencies for your synergy which has resulted to a lot of successes in the counter insurgency in the Northeast and Borno state”, Zululand added.
He said that Borno state government has begin supporting the military and other security agencies in the state and assured the security agencies of Borno state government’s continued support.
While commending the IGP for the construction of the Ultra modern Police station, pledged that government will replicate the construction of the stations in Biu, Bama, Monguno and others.
In the welcome address, the Borno state Police Commissioner, CP Abdu Umar said a total of 389 police men were killed, 450 injured and several arms and ammunition and equipment destroyed.
