I Can Sacrifice My Life For Zulum,–Iliyas Man Who Trekked From Kano To Maiduguri

An indigene of Borno state taking refuge in Kano, who trekked from Kano city to Maiduguri to show love and solidarity to Governor Babagana Zulum, Iliyas Bello said he is now a fulfilled man, as his dream of meeting Governor Zulum has finally realized.
A 39 years old, Ilayas Bello who was personally received by Governor Babagana zulum at the Government House, Maiduguri, on Friday evening said ” It took me 13 day when I begin my journey from Fotoro, Kano city, through, Wudil, Jamare, Azare Potiskum, Damaturu Jakana to Maiduguri and I changed 10 pairs of shoes for me to arrived Maiduguri to see you”
” I defied all risks and odds to come and show solidarity to you for your purposeful leadership, resilience, commitment to the flight of your citizens and for relocating our people back to Mallam Fatori and other communities in the state”, he added.
He said ” I meet many people including thugs and other hoodlums but just because you are a good man when they saw your picture they received me and even gave me gifts. I was even arrested by the military on my way and after interrogations , when they sees me with your picture,Nigerian flag and voters card they released me. I can sacrifice my life for you to live”.He also bought some gifts of tea condiments and an eye glass to the Governor
Responding, Governor Babagana zulum thanked him for the love and show of solidarity and promised to continue to serve the people of Borno and humanity.
He asked the young man about some prominent people in Mallam Fatori and asked the chairman of Abadam local area,to give good accommodation and feeding to Iliyas Bello until he meet him.
