Adamawa Varsity Graduates 2,594 in Various Academic Fields

The Adamawa state University Mubi(ADSU) has awarded various certificates of graduation to 2,594 graduating students .
Vice chancellor of the University, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta made the disclosure at a press conference to formally herald activities marking the 14th Convocation ceremony of the University held in Mubi local government area of the state yesterday.
Professor Farauta said that 2369 would be graduating with First Class degrees, 639 second class (upper),1,470 second class(lower),while 255 third class and 21 with pass category respectively.
Farauta stated that the University has 186 post graduating students from various field of studies across facilities.
“Adamawa state University Mubi has added Two Thousand,Five Hundred and Ninety Four (2,594) graduates, who have been found worthy in both character and learning to the human resources development of the state, Nation, Continent and global workforce.
“This 14th edition of our University ‘s convocation is very unique in several ways,First, it coincides with the celebration of 20th years of existence of our University which we celebrated last month and commissioning of our new campus named after the former,His Excellency Abubakar Barde, who conceived the vision of the University”.She explained.
She announced that former Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund(Tetfund) Professor Suleiman Elias Borogo will be conferred with the Honorary Doctor of Science .
According to her, the convocation lecture will be delivered by an accomplished entrepreneur and Economist a Mal. Aminu Buhari on the topic “Revamping the insurgency ravaged Economics : The potential of the livestock sector in Adamawa state”.
The Vice Chancellor emphasizeed that the choice of the topic was the University’s observation of the need to explore the livestock sector in the state especially against the fact that the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration poised to create an enabling environment for the sector to thrive with the construction of the International cattle Market in Mubi town.
