As 2023, Presidential election draws nearer Atiku Support group inaugurated in Abuja

As 2023 general elections draws nearer ,a group the auspicious of Atiku support organization (ASO) has been launched in Abuja to promote better governance and quality leadership in the country, and canvass support for the Former Vice President Atiiku Abubakar and promote his ideas of equity, fairness and inclusiveness in the development of the nation in preparation to 2023 Presidential election.

The group under Alhaji Abubakar kabir babawo was launched on Monday, 14th December in Abuja to canvas votes and promote the agenda of the former vice President as he prepares to launch yet another campaign for the 2023 presidential elections..

inauguration of members of the organization, the Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 Presidential elections said he desires for every Nigerian to have unhindered access to basic necessities of life like education, healthcare, portable water as well as provision of security which has continue to be elusive under the present leadership of the APC led Federal government.

Speaking to journalists on the inauguration in Maiduguri on Tuesday, the Borno state coordinator of the Atiku support organization, Hon. Mohammed Abdallah said that he accepted to join the atiku support organization because of the democratic credentials of the former vice president,.

“Atiku abubakar is a true democrat, he fought the third term agenda of the then president olusegun obasanjo. He fought against tenure elongation. He has been a frontline campaigner of restructuring and he has the political will and determination and experienced to reposition this country for the better. These are characters that are missing in most of our current leaders.”, Abdullahi stressed.

“Borno has always been ruled by selfish and greedy leaders. We have been at the receiving end of bad leadership since the return of democracy, that is why the state is backward in terms of development. We cannot continue like this, we need to mobilize our people to embrace positive change, change that impact positively on the lives of the citizenry. Abdallah said.

While speaking in the insurgency ravaging the state, Hon Abdullahi said
” The present insecurity we are grappling with is as a result of bad governance from the so called leaders we have had in the state. They have deliberately refused to provide education to our people because they want to continue to lord over us. They have refused to provide basic infrastructures because they don’t want the poor masses to have access to quality life, so that they will continue to be under the dictate of them. This is the result. We are now suffering from their selfish sentiments. He added.

He assured that with the inauguration of the atiku support organization, he, along with the yet to be inaugurated members of the committee in the state will preach the message of liberation to all citizens of Borno with the aim of garnering support and follower ship to the presidential hopeful so that the state will enjoy better life that will be provided by the leadership of Atiku Abubakar.

Member PDP Board of Trustees, Sen. Joy Emordi, Joins APC

A member, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Joy Emordi, today defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, formally received the senator in a brief ceremony in Abuja.

Sen. Emordi, said she was convinced that the future of a prosperous and united Nigeria lies in the APC.

She described the APC leadership as sincerely and genuinely committed to a united Nigeria that has plans for the future generation.

The legislator assured the party of her loyalty and her supporters to the party “l assure the party of my loyalty and support and to work for the success of the party.”

Sen. Emordi said “the APC led federal government is working for the South East and this is attracting more PDP members into APC.”

The Chairman CECPC Mai Mala Buni, expressed delight with the decision taken by the board member to contribute to the unity of the country.

“There is need for us to join hands for the political stability and national unity of our dear country” he said.

Governor Buni said the coming of Sen. Emordi and other prominent politicians from the South East into the APC will promote national unity.

“The South east is a strong political block and very crucial to the unity of the country, this will mo doubt add to national cohesion ” the Chairman added.

The All Progressive Congress ( APC) in Borno state has peacefully held its ward congresses, as Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state joined others members of his ward , Mafa Central ward of Mafa local government area of Borno state where they elected 27 member ward executives of the party inline with the ongoing ward, local government and state congresses of the party

Addressing the delegates befoe throwing the question, the chairman of the APC Congress committee in Borno state, who is also former Deputy Governor of Taraba state, Alhaji Uba Amadu said ” we are here in Mafa on behalf of APC national headquarters, Abuja to witnessed and monitor the ward congress of our party. We are here to ensure that the congress were conducted in accordance with our party constitution”.

” Our party constitution has allow that the congresses should be done in 3 ways that is, through direct and indirect process, as well as consensus, It could be recalled that the state statutory delegates had last Wednesday agreed that Borno state has opted for consensus.. Today we are here to ensure that what you agreed on is implemented to the later.” Alhaji Anadu added

Those unanimously affirmed through voice votes, as the 27 man Executive of the Mafa central ward of the Mafa local government area were, Alhaji Ali chori, as chairman, Alh Gado Ka’ana as Vice chairman, Alhaji Gada sarki as secretary, Alhaji Babagana Kachalla, treasurer among others executives of the ward.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen in Mafa, shorty after the exercise , Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state called on the APC members in the state to conduct themselves peacefully and be united for the progress of the party, state and the country at large..

“I want to use this opportunity to thank you for conducting yourselves peacefully, we want to also thank the national , state and local government committee for ensuring peaceful congress in Mafa central my ward”, Zulum.

He said ” I want to assure you that APC administration in Borno state under my leadership will continue to provide more dividends of democracy to our people. We are going to establish additional secondary school here in Mafa for our children to go to school, we are also going to train our youths across all wards of the local government, so that they will be engaged “.

As at the time of filing in this reports the ward congresses were going on simultaneously and peacefully in Biu and Hawul local government, as well as other wards across the state

APC Congress: Buni calls for peaceful exercise, warns against sabotage

As the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, warms up for its ward Congress on Saturday, the Chairman Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has enjoined party stakeholders and members to conduct the exercise peacefully.

In a statement signed Friday night by his Director-General on media and publicity, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni called on officials conducting the Congress to be fair and objective to all candidates contesting the election.

“As stakeholders of the party, we have a great responsibility to make the ward Congress in all the participating states successful.

“We should endeavour to place the party and members interest above personal interests,” Buni charged.

The chairman warned that the party would not hesitate to take decisive measures against anyone who deliberately sabotaged the Congress.

“We have come a long way repositioning the party, we have reconciled many groups and individuals, we must not allow personal interests in this election to divide us and draw us back,” he advised.

He expressed the commitment of the committee to entrench internal democracy and respect for the People’s choice.

Governor Buni further said adequate arrangements had been made by the party to conduct successful and acceptable congresses across the country.
