BORNO MONARCH RETURNED BACK TO DOMAIN, AFTER SACRED BY BOKO HARAM

Civil authority has finally restored back to Gwoza town the former caliphate and spritual headqtaters of Boko Haram insurgents, as the Emir of Geoza, Alhaji Muhammadu Shehu Idris Tumta permanently relocated back to the ancient town.

The town was on Sunday thrown into festive mood, as people in their thousands took to the roads and streets of Gwoza to give the Emir a rsuzy welcome after over five years in Msiduguri ss an Ineternally Displaced Emier in another domain.

The Emir who was accompanied by the Birno state Deputy Governments, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur the firmer Senate. leader, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume were treated with variety of cultural dances. Press songs among others tradition’s to adimoration of all guest.

It could be recalled that Gwoza town was sacked by members of Boko Haram insurgent on 14 August 2014, since then, the emir was Operating in Maiduguri until his relocation on Sunday, 14 July, 2019.

Addressing the people at the Emir’s Palace,in Geoza, the Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Umara said his administration has accord high respect and committed to traditional institution as symbol and pride of every society.

While felicitating with the Emir and people of Gwoza Emirate, the Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Alhsji Umar Usman Kadafur said ” on behalf of the Governor I fecitate with the Emir and people of Gwiza over the official relocation and returned of our Emir back to his place after years in Maiduguri. Thus indicated that civil authority has fully return to the area”

” thus administration will not afford to toy with the people of Gwoza and the traditional institutions.I therefore i call on you to support the Emir and the security agencies to end insurgency and move the emirate forward”, Prof. umara said.

He said ” the government is not unaware of challenges related to the relocation of the Emir.. We are going accelerate the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gwoza General Hospital, water sources and other public utility buildings amongst others.

Speaking Earlier, the returned Emir, Alh. Muhammadu Shehu Timta who excited with the number of people that reciieved him after many years in Maiduguri following the capture and declaration of his town as the spritusl headquarters of the insurgents.

” Today’s is my happiest day i n life, as u officially returned back to my domain after been displaced by insurgents. I therefore call all people Gwoza to come back home, so that we will rebuild back our communities”, the Monarch said.

The Royal Father further said ” thiugh we hae relicated but one cabit move out of Gwoza town two kilomteres becayse my subjects were killed anytime they had an encounter Boko Haram insurgents on their way to farms, therefore call on President Muhamnadu Buhari to do something, so that our people will have access to their farms.”

He also appealed to the Borno state givermet to construct more tent. So that their Internally Displaced Persons (IDOs) taking refuge in Abuja, Nassarawa, Gombe with return ac home, relocate the military from Some of the schools for their children to return back to school among other challenges.

Also speaking, the former Senate Leader, Seator Ali Ndume said ” we the people of Gwoza are as today our emir who is the symbol of culture and civil authority has gully returned back to our community’.

In his welcome address, the caretaker Chairman of Gwoza local government, Alhaji Abdullahi Danjatau ordered that all staff of the council should returned back to Gwiza or resign saying that ” with the relocation of the Emir and myself I ordered all workers to return or resign, as we have over a thousand of graduate who are ready to work in Gwoza

The Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has commended the troop of Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian Army for successfully neutralizing 25 members of Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP and Boko Haram insurgents and destroyed dozens of gun trucks on Monday evening in Chabbal along Maiduguri-Gubio road.

Governor Zulum in a statement issued by his spokesman, Malam Isa Gusau,, described the military’s success in upturning an ambush planned by the insurgents as very commendable, urging the troops to sustain recent gains over the insurgents.

The Governor “I am happy to have confirmed from multiple sources that our gallant troops under the 7 Division Garrison of Operation Hadin Kai have, once again, successfully dislodged at least 25 fighters of ISWAP/Boko Haram alongside several gun trucks on Monday evening around Chabbal. I highly commend all troops and anyone who contributed to that victory.”

“The government and good people of Borno State are proud of our troops and we will continue to accord them all the support they require from us.”, Governor Zulum was quoted in the statement.

He further said “we must continue to combine both military and persuasive approach in our shared determination to end the insurgency as soon as this can happen”,

Gov. Buni Approves 65 Years As Retirement Age For Teachers

His excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, The executive Governor of Yobe state, has approved the revised retirement age for Teachers from 60 years to 65 years and length of service year from 35 to 40 years respectively whichsoever come first.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Alhassan Sule Mamudo, information officer, office of the head of civil service, Yobe State.

According to him, “It should however be noted that the reversed retirement Age/years of Service is not automatic as officers will be required to demonstrate fitness after medical examination and those found to be unfit will be advised to retire accordingly”.

Gov. Zulum warns political thugs in Borno to desist from constituting nuisance or risks jail term

The Borno state Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has warned all political thugs popularly known as ECOMOG in the state to desist from constituting nuisance to politicians and public figures at Airport, shopping complexes, wedding, naming funeral places and mosques or risk to go to jail.

Governor Babagana Zulum read the act in Monday while addressing the political thugs at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government House, Maiduguri, said ” we have noticed in recent times you have been constituting nuisance at the Airport, shopping complexes, mosques, wedding, and naming ceremonies, as well as funeral places.. We are warning you to desist or face the wrath if the law.. Anybody will be arrested

” I am directing the police, DSS and the NSCDC to arrest any political thug and prosecute him. We are not going to tolerate this. Any politician that is supporting or funding this thugs is not going to enjoy my support come 2023., we will deny him ticket to run any political office “, Zulum added.

He said ” I know must of you have political godfathers, some even go as far as Abuja disturbing politicians and constituting nuisance. We are not going to accept this. Must of you have personally benefited from cars and cash from me, for you to start business But have continued to disturbed people. Are you the only citizens of the state? I repeat I am not going to support any Senator, House of Representative, Assembly member or commissioner who gives you Money”.

” It is the ECOMOG and the Boko Haram that threw the state in the insecurity we are facing. . I know you all, we will deal with anybody committing crime,” he stated.

A member representing Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) at the National Assembly, Hon. Kadiri Rahis frowned at the ways and manner political thugs are denying politician and other community leaders a breathing space in their houses and other place, describing it as unacceptable

Also in his remarks, the Borno state Attorney General and commissioner of justice, Barrister Kakashehu Lawan also warned the political thugs, saying that ” my files are always ready to prosecute any of you found wanting”.

Earlier speaking, the Borno state commissioner of police, CP Abdu Umar said ” available information at our disposals indicates that you have been constituting nuisance at wedding, naming ceremonies places as well as mosques and funeral places .. We are warning you to desist .Anybody found in this town will be arrested and forced to face the law, no matter how powerful his godfather is. We are going to deploy our men everywhere to arrest anybody found disturbing public peace’ “..

Also in his remarks, the state Director State Service (DSS), Mannir Mustapha said ” we are warning you, anybody found engaging in criminal act will be arrested and severely dealt with.”
