Borno: PDP House Of Assembly Candidate Dumps Party Ahead of Elections, Join APC

The People Democratic Party (PDP) state House Assembly candidate of Marte local government Hon Jidda Buji alongside thousands of his supporters have defected into the fold of the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the march 11 Governorship and state constituency elections.
Receiving the state Assembly candidate and his supporters at an APC campaign rally in Marte. Governor Zulum said the defection of Hon Jidda Buji and his supporters into APC, signals the burial of PDP in the area and urged the people of Marte not to give PDP a chance to win single unit.
While thanking the people of the area for voting him and other APC candidates in 2019 while in camps and urged them to again vote for him and all other APC candidates from top to bottom in the coming 2023 general elections.
The governor said his administration has done a lot in the area of security, reconstruction and resettlement and provision of foods and non foods items, stressing if reelected he is going to relocate the people Minta and other villages, as well as reopen Marte, Dikwa road for free movement.
He called on people of the area to come out en-mass and vote for Tinubu, shettima, himself and all other candidates of the party, adding that they need 100 percent votes for APC, as Shettima is son of the state.
Earlier, the Borno state APC chairman, Hon Ali Dalori said APC has done a lot to the people of the area and now it is time to pay back by voting the party come 25 the February and 11th match, 2023 elections.
” Where were those coming to tell you lies during the heat of Boko Haram insurgency, where were they when you were displaced, where were they when the Governor is busy distributing foods and non food items? Have they ever bring you a single kobo or grain”, Dalori, queried.
In their separate remarks, the Northern Borno senatorial Candidate, Hon. Mohammed Monguno, House of representative candidate for Monguno, Nganzai and Marte , Hon Bukar Talba, state House of Assembly candidate, Engr Gambomi Marte and the council chairman Marte local government all urged the people to vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
