Governor Zulum Dissolves State Executive Council

Governor, Babagama Zulum of Borno state has dissolved the State Executive Council (SEC) ,all members of boards, Special Adviser ,Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants..
While announcing dissolution at the end of Extra ordinary Executive Council meeting yesterday, and Valedictory Session, Governor Zulum said ” Today being 25th May, 2023, I wish to announce the dissolution of the State Executive Council, all chairmen and members of boards, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants Special Assistants and all other political appointees, except the Secretary to the State Government who will stay until 29th May to help me in some assignment”..
While appreciating the commissioners for serving in his administration, Zulum said .”I directed you all to handover the affairs of your respective ministries to the permanent secretaries on or before tomorrow Friday, This dissolution includes chairmen and members of boards Special Adviser Adviser, Senior Special Assistance and Senior Assistance”.
He said ” I seek for your forgiveness in course of discharging my duties. On my side I don’t go to bed with anybody in my heart. I wish you all the best , power belong to God and He gives it to any one He wants at the time He wishes. I was Pick up driver some years ago I was a commissioner with some of you but today I am the Governor. I am not better than you”.
Zulum also appreciated the media for their support, objective reportage and coverage of the state government activities and role the media played in the post insurgency and recovery process towards restoration of peace and rebuilding process.
He further solicited for continuous support and cooperation of the media while reassuring the media of his administration perpetual support and synergy, however pledged to be available and supportive to all his outgoing SEC at any time while maintaining that his government doors are opened always and will never relent on its efforts to maintain contracts with all in future.
He commended all the SEC members for their individual contributions and supports to his actualization , 9-points Agenda , vision and mission while appreciating all the encomiums on him by the outgoing SEC members during his first term in office .
Governor Zulum also directed all the State Commissioners to submit details of their ministerial and departmental records of achievements, challenges, ongoing projects and prospects along with their handing over notes to their Permanent Secretaries.
