healthcare insurance, BOSCHMA Partners NHIA Unveiled ICT Centre, Supports 100 PHCs in Borno with ICT Equipment

The Borno state Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOSCHMA) in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), have unveiled ICT complex and support to 100 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs),with ICT shipments for effective data management and commitment to providing universal and accessible healthcare delivery,
Speaking at the unveiling of the Newly established ICT centre and distribution of 109 PHCs in Borno, the Director General of the National Health Insurance Authority, (NHIA), Prof. Nasir Sambo said on assumption in office in 2019 his major priority was the digitalization of the activities of the Authority. .
Represented by Mr Joseph Ojo, Professor Nasir Sambo said “there is no any meaningful Development without technology, hence since I assumed office we embarked on digitalization of all activities and processes of the Authority with view of achieving effective universal healthcare delivery,. The Authority have also been supporting the state healthcare insurance agencies”.
The DG said the contributory insurance is a veritable tool in proving qualitative .universal healthcare delivery and commended Governor Zulum and the BOSCHMA for keying into the policy
He also commended Borno state government for allocating land to his authority to build its state office, which he believed will not only propelled the contributory health insurance but also improve health decade delivery at PHCs levels in the state.
Earlier, the Borno state commissioner for health, Prof. Mohammed Arab said ” health sector is one of the Pilar of the 25 year Development Plan of Governor Zulum a administration, that was why on assumption of office in 2019 he established the BOSCHMA.,

In his welcome address, the Executive Secretary of the BOSCHMA, Dr Saleh Kaza said the Agency was established in 2019 by Governor Babagana Zulum on assumption of office in 2019 to ensure all citizen have access to universal healthcare coverage.
He said ” the contributory health insurance is opened to all citizen both in public, private and individuals with a view of insuring universal healthcare delivery to all. Healthcare delivery as part of the 25 year Development Plan and 10 year Strategic plans, as well as 10 pact of this government “.
“We are here for the unveiling of the newly established Zulum ICT centre and support to 100 PHC. The support includes laptops,wiiFi device, 3 in 1 printers, as well as some token to the mangers of 100 PHC across the state for effective data management and healthcare delivery. We are doing this in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Authority “, Kaza added.
