Kano 2023: Hundreds of NNPP/PDP Members Dump Party And Join APC Ahead of Elections

Kano state deputy governor and the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna have received hundreds of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) who decamped to the APC.
This was coming in less than 50 days before this year’s general elections in the country.
The members decamped to the party at Tudunwada, Shanono and Bagwai Local Government Areas of the state during the governorship rallies, held recently.
Speaking during the Shaono rally, Alhaji Saminu Mai-nama of the PDP and his counterpart of NNPP Alhaji Umar Mai-Kwandala and others formally defected from their parties, alongside hundreds of their members to the APC.
According to them, both of them are representing 10 constituencies.
Alhaji Mai-nama, said his renowned organization has equally joined APC.
Dr. Gawuna spoke at the rallies where he described the success as the marked improvement to the party and a display that accentuated that the party would firmly win the zone.
“I have nothing to say but to thank Almighty Allah for this floating gathering.
“You’re eyewitness of the developmental projects brought to you under the good leadership of APC.
“One of them is the reconstruction of Watari dam that are now have over 1 thousand hectares that are functioning.”
Besides the aforementioned feats, the guber candidate has pledged that if elected he will adopt general mechanisms towards the overhaul of health and agricultural sectors in the state.
On his part, the deputy governorship candidate, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, thanked the party faithful who trooped out in their large numbers to attend the campaign rally.
He prayed for the eternal eternal peace to the people who passed away in the town, urging them to vote for APC for the continuity of development.
