PVC Registration : Adamawa Police Vows to arrest and prosecute Saboteurs

The Adamawa state Police Command has vowed to prosecute any one or group of persons caught disrupting electoral process of Permanent Voters Cards registration in the state.
Spokesman of the Command,S.P Suleiman Nguroje issued the warning through a press statement in Yola weekend disclosing that intelligent report at the disposal of the police revealed that some group of people are going around PVC registration centres creating confusion deliberately.
Nguroje stated that the Commissioner of Police in charge of the state Command,CP Sikiru Akande has directed all the police formations including Area Commanders,Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to ensure necessary measures apply in addressing the ugly situation in their respective areas.
“Following intelligence report made available to Police that some group of people are going around PVC registration centres disrupting the process and making it difficult for those yet to be registered to get registered.
“The CP hereby statutorily mandated all Divisional Police Officers,Operational Commanders and their Supervisory Area Commanders to ensure that prevention and detection of crime remains their top priority.
“Our Command’s Operational assets will be deployed to detect and arrest individual or group found committing any crime to face the full wrath of the law”.the statement assured.
According to the statement,the police search light will be beamed on the activities of the commercial Tricycles and motorcycles especially late night operators urging the public to cooperate with the police in volunteering useful information.
Recalled that few weeks ago a religious faith based Association has raised alarm over such allegation that certain group of different faith are blocking its followers to get registered in some local government areas of the state.
