We have established 4th camps to accommodate the increasing number of insurgents –General Musa

The theater Commander Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Christopher Musa has said to accommodate the increasing number of Boko Haram, insurgents the Borno state government in collaboration with the Nigerian Military and International Donor Partners, have established fourth Camp at Gongolang area to decongest the existing camps.
Briefing journalists at a monthly Press Briefing,, which held at the theater Command headquarters, Maiduguri yesterday the theater Commander, Major General Christopher Musa said the new camps is to decongest the existing camps of Hajj camps
While assuring the general public that the new camp did not constitute any threat, the theater Commander said” the military SBD other security agencies are working round the clock to ensure the new camp is secured and did not constitute any threat to the people of the area.
So far total of 81,161 Boko Haram and ISWAP members have surrendered to our troops and the 3 existing camps are now over stretched , the government is establishing fourth Camp in Gongolang to decongest the existing camps ” the camps, he added.
General Musa sexistexistingthe period under review a total of 3,162 patrols ,1,39 ambushes were carried out by the troops of the Nigerian Army, while 7 Boko Haram attack, and 16 Improvised Explosives Devices (IEDs) incidents were recorded..
Also speaking, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General, Wihidi Shua’ibu said on 29th September, 2022, and 2nd October, 2022, two additional Chibok girls, Yagana Pogu and Rejoice Anki who were on serial 19 and 70 of the Chibok girls list were rescued by the troops of the Operation Hadin Kai in Bama and Mandara mountain axis.
Earlier in his presentations, the theater Intelligence Officer, Lt Col Obina Azukwe said within the last 6 weeks, top Boko Haram commanders which includes Abu Safyan, Abu Ubayda, Abu Yasr were killed by the Nigerian troops in various operations across the state ,
A total of 49 Boko Haram terrorist were killed, 107 Boko Haram collaborators, suppliers were arrested, and and 16 IEDs incidents occurred unfortunately, we lost 9 soldiers, 2 CJTF members paid the supreme price “, he added.
